Comparing the Difference

See a category below to learn more about how the Wagoneer compares to the Chevy Tahoe.

Powerful Travels Ahead

Power through your daily drive with impressive performance from the 2022 Wagoneer or Chevy Tahoe. A V8 engine with eTorque mild hybrid system delivers robust power on the 2022 Wagoneer. It’s paired with your choice of one of three legendary 4×4 drive systems — Quadra-Trac I® with the Selec-Terrain® traction management system, Quadra-Trac II® with Selec-Terrain traction management system, or Quadra-Drive® II. All Wagoneer models come with an eight-speed automatic transmission as well.

While the Chevy Tahoe is available with three different engine options, the 2022 Wagoneer simplifies your decision by powering all trim packages with the same vigorous engine, which is capable of towing up to 10,000 pounds. See the accompanying table for more information on Wagoneer and Tahoe engine specs and fuel economy.

Sleek Design

The 2022 Wagoneer and 2022 Chevy Tahoe have a vastly different approach to design aesthetics. Borrowing from natural elements, the Wagoneer employs a minimalist concept, featuring sweeping lines and carefully placed contouring. The Tahoe articulates a bolder stance and features a widespread grille that almost reaches across the entirety of the front end.

You’re given several different wheel options on both vehicles, plus standard LED headlamps and tail lamps, as well as heated side mirrors. Side steps and roof rails are standard on the Wagoneer and available options on the Tahoe. Features you’ll find only on the Wagoneer include standard LED five-reflector fog lamps with cornering features and an available tri-pane panoramic sunroof.

Plush and Spacious Adventures

Both the Wagoneer and Chevy Tahoe seat seven to eight passengers, depending on the trim package you select, and have three rows of seating. Cargo capacity on the Wagoneer is 116.7 cubic feet and 122.9 cubic feet on the Tahoe. To help you make the most of your cargo space, the Wagoneer comes with a cargo load floor for additional storage possibilities. Plus, the second and third rows fold down flat to make loading your trunk easier.

To make adjusting the seating in your vehicle simpler, the 2022 Wagoneer and Chevy Tahoe are available with power-adjustable second- and third-row seats. Driver information is upgraded in both vehicles as well — the Wagoneer has a standard 10.25-inch instrument cluster display, while the Tahoe is standard with a 4.2-inch display or available with an 8- or 12-inch display.

Other available interior features on the 2022 Wagoneer include:

  • Capri leather or Nappa leather seats
  • Heated and ventilated front seats
  • Three-zone automatic temperature control
  • Second-row manual window shades
  • Auto-dimming rear view mirror

The Wagoneer has a standard Uconnect® 5 infotainment system with a 10.1-inch touchscreen and navigation, while the Tahoe has a standard 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Seamlessly pair your smartphone with the infotainment system thanks to standard Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, and Bluetooth®. If you’re a music enthusiast, you’ll love the 506-watt Alpine® audio system with nine speakers on the 2022 Wagoneer.
