Are you in the market for a new SUV? Do you want something that can give you all of the comfort and capability you need? Then you have come to the right place. At Findlay CDJR, we are looking at two of the top SUVs on the market today. We are focused on checking out the 2022 Wagoneer and the 2022 Ford Expedition. The Wagoneer sets the bar high with a tough body-on-frame chassis, an independent rear suspension, seating for up to eight passengers, and even a super luxurious interior that comes with all of the equipment that you have been waiting for. The Expedition does its best to keep up with a timeline model, unimpressive fuel economy, a refined interior, and decent towing numbers. Are you interested in finding out more? Keep reading down below for all of the latest.
One of the best places to start learning more is the standard engine that the Wagoneer features. We really want to get across that this 5.7-liter V8 can produce all of the power you could ever need. You’ll be getting around 392 horsepower and 404 pound-feet of torque. Paired with this engine is an eight-speed automatic transmission. Another perk is the ability to choose from rear- and four-wheel drive. For anyone who opts for 4WD, you will have the option between three different systems. They include Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II. No matter which you pick, your Wagoneer will be getting you the off-roading capabilities that you want out of a Jeep.
The Expedition does its best to keep up by also coming with one standard engine. This engine is a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6, which can produce 380 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. There is the option to get the High Output version, which can bump up the overall numbers from this engine. You can also choose between RWD and 4WD. However, there are no 4WD systems available that you can really rely on. That means you might want to skip Expedition if you’re serious about off-roading.
Power is not the only way that the Wagoneer will impress you. This is also an SUV that will offer standard equipment like wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, a 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, a power tailgate, an Alpine audio system, Nappa leather bench seats, and tri-zone climate control. Optional features in this lineup include a tri-pane sunroof, a head-up display, a McIntosh audio system, rear-seat entertainment group, an electronic limited-slip differential, intersection collision assist, and a front-passenger screen.
The last part of the Ford Expedition we’re checking out are some of the features. Standard equipment includes LED headlights, a 12-inch central touchscreen, blind-spot monitoring, a Sync4 infotainment system, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high-beam headlights. Optional features include 22-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, a digital gauge cluster, heated and vented seats, a terrain-management system, and pro trailer back-up assist.
Now that you’ve learned more about these SUVs, it should be easy to realize that the 2022 Wagoneer is simply better in all regards. Whether it’s the engine, the four-wheel drive systems, or all of the equipment, the Wagoneer won’t let you down. Stop by Findlay CDJR today to find out more about the models that we have available on our lot.
